Dust Hose Magnetic Machine Coupling - 100mm

Great set, I was able to use these for my table saw, router table and planner for quick change over. Helping to keep my small workshop clean, would recommend as price good value

I agree with the other reviewer These devices are so easy to attach and the design produces no noticeable air leakage even when placing my hand over the intake to test the interconnect. I would definitely recommend these and a reasonable price too.

This system has just overcome my single biggest hassle in my workshop. If I had only a couple of cuts to do on my bandsaw I would not connect the extraction pipes because I could finish the job before I had finished scrabbling around in the sawdust, to find a connector then stretch it out, then find it had the wrong connector. Just lost the will to live. I have found that will again, although the 'kit' , as someone else has pointed out, does require additional items to be able to fit onto your existing system. Once set up, it is so easy and quick with a very firm hold. As long as it lasts, this system gets 10 stars. Thoroughly recommended.

I ordered these after recently upgrading my dust extraction in my workshop. I have seen similar products and thought, quite rightly, that these would be an excellent way to make fixing the hose to machines less cumbersome. This is true. The item is well built, and the magnets incredibly strong. It seems like it will last and at £45 for the kit, plus postage is a good deal.

My only issue is that when received it became apparent that you need an extra rubber cuff (sold at Rutlands for an extra £15 each) or small piece of existing 4" hose to fit between the magnetic attachments and each machine, otherwise each attachment won't fit as they are exactly the same size as the port you are fitting it on. The hose attachment isn't a problem, but the three machine attachments are.

If it is going to be a 'kit', why didn't Rutlands put the price up slightly, and include everything needed? When I contacted customer services, they said "it is shown in the product video". Which it is, but blink and you miss it, or the demonstrators hand is covering it! It is shown alongside the attachments at the end, with no real clarity on whether they are optional or not? It's not totally obvious, or shown clearly in pictures on the product page.

I've found my own way around it with small sections of PVC pipe which works fine.
Apart from this proviso the product itself is great and good value, and I am reviewing it as such, but beware extras will be needed to make this work properly.

Much cheaper and more compact than blast gates and splitters.very convenient when equipment is not in a fixed location. Strong enough magnets to support several metres of duct weight without decoupling. Great for cleaning the shop up generally as well. I connected the non magnet ends to each of my planer, router table and table saw using reducers and looped 6m of ducting on large J hooks from the show roof so can easily move to each machine in a few seconds.
