Router Table Dust Collection Box

This router table dust collection box captures dust and debris at the source, providing a cleaner working environment whilst reducing harmful dust in the air. Superior to fence mounted dust ports, which require close proximity to the router bit to be effective, this dust box delivers outstanding performance during any routing operation. Strong suction forces generated inside the box pull dust and debris past the router bit and motor, ensuring the surrounding workshop area, and the floor below, are kept cleaner than ever before.

Installation underneath a phenolic laminate router table top, or a home-made wooden router table table is straightforward. Eight mounting holes, four on either side, are used to screw the box securely in place. The Rutlands® solid phenolic and cast iron router table tops are not pre-drilled on the underside to accept this dust collection box. Once mounted, power cables for both routers and router lifts can be fed through the grommet on the reverse whilst maintaining an airtight seal. Below the grommet is a 100mm outside diameter dust port for connection to industry standard 102mm dust hose. An integrated blast gate ensures optimum airflow within the dust collection system when the router table is not in use. Mounted to the front of the box is a hinge operated access door, which once opened provides a generous 210mm x 120mm access aperture to make quick adjustments to your router or lift if required. Designed for ease of use, the door locks securely in place with two integrated magnets once closed.

Engineered from cold rolled carbon steel, a material selected for its excellent tensile strength, the box has been carefully designed to come in at only 6kg. Its sloped design at the bottom encourages larger chips and debris to travel towards the rear of box, to the dust port, and straight into the dust collector. The box measures 344mm in length by 284mm in width, with a height of 304mm at the front extending to 377mm at back. Encapsulated by the steel walls, router noise will also be reduced during operation. An essential addition, designed to improve quality of life at the router table. ©
