The clamp is fully adjustable as the tail can be locked off in 25mm increments and the lead screw has a travel of 45mm. The smooth running rolled acme threaded bar provides easy and rapid movement of the clamp head. Weighing only 0.92kgs they can still exert an impressive 8000N of clamping force. Because of the aluminium construction an additional benefit is that the bar will not mar the surface of your workpiece, which could be the case with steel sash clamps. Supplied in packs of 6. I bough these clamps for a specific home DIY project, and will then probably have only occasional light use. They really did work a treat, and to be honest I was very impressed with the quality, especially as the sale price worked out to be £8.33 each! I particularly like how light these are, but not affecting stability on the bench. My only negative comment would be there is not much travel on the vice thread due to the location of the pins that locate the end jaw assembly to the aluminium bar, but this is easily overcome with packers if desired. Great quality and service yet again from Rutlands.
Got these on a daily price drop. Really good sash clamps. Really light weight and clamp well.
I brought these for my workshop . I have plenty of these (but will probably get more can never have to many) they are a great clamps. I use them for glue ups all the time great product
