Set of 3 blades for the Rutlands® R1600 Bandsaw or any other bandsaw using 1575mm (62”) long blades. This set contains 3 x 6mm wide blades in 6tpi, 10tpi and 14tpi tooth pitches.
The 6tpi blade is designed for the general ripping and cross-cutting of hard and soft woods, and features a skip tooth form with a wide shallow gullet to clear away waste quickly and prevent clogging. The 10tpi and 14tpi blades feature a standard tooth form and are well suited for smoother, finer straight and curved cuts on plywood, MDF and thinner solid wood material.
Each blade has raker set teeth, with a sequence of one tooth set to the right, one tooth set to the left and one central, unset tooth, to prevent blade binding and provide greater cutting efficiency and a smoother surface finish. The blades are engineered from SK4 high carbon steel, providing strength and durability whilst remaining highly flexible to accommodate smaller diameter bandsaw wheels. Each tooth is impulse hardened to HRC 55, delivering rapid cutting whilst retaining their sharpness for longer. ©
