Concealed Hinge Jig

I purchased this item as I need to sort out the kitchen cupboard doors. Saved a lot of time & messing about with measuring. Highly recommend.

I needed one of these as an Ikea cupboard we bought only gave you the option of a small drawer (waste of space) where we wanted a cupboard door.

So the drawer front they sold is missing the 35mm holes for the hinges and so I looked to see if you could buy the tool and found not only that but also these jigs - I only have a non-fixed drill and I wasn't confident I could cut in exactly the right place and perpendicular to the drawer front.

I trawled through basically what looked like cheap tat until I found what appeared to be a good item. However, I couldn't buy it remotely and once a local supplier added on their cost for ordering and sending to be, it was getting on for £60.

I only needed to drill 2 holes so back to the drawing board!

I found this kit and not only did it look better, it was £5 cheaper than the original product price I was considering.

After ordering, it turned up promptly and you can tell it is good quality. Helpful well-written instructions. Everything you need to get the job done included (although you really need to use at least one clamp, ideally two if you can, to hold it in place which I already had fortunately).

I took a lot of care and I've ended up with a precision finish which looks great now fitted.

This jig makes the whole process really quick and simple and it was cheap so that is great.
The fact that all that you need (except the 35mm drill bit) all fit onto the back of the Jig is brilliant, it means all of the parts including the tiny drill bit that I'd lose are all with the jig when I need it.
