The keyless chuck, 0.3 to 3.2mm, accepts a wide range of industry standard accessories. A hanging loop is used to connect the tool to the stand when coupled up to the flexible shaft . The 1m long flexible shaft has a plastic coated steel core and is fitted with a slim line hand piece. The stand is telescopic and expands to a maximum height of 600mm and will clamp on to any work surface up to 60mm thick.
Supplied in a canvas carry case the kit comes with rotary tool, power grip handle, flexible shaft, telescopic stand, drilling guide and a 125 piece accessory kit containing sanding, polishing, sawing, grinding and drilling accessories. ©

I have been going to get one of these for awhile, just wish i had done it sooner. This has been such a good little tool which does so much in just one tool. Great.
In April 2025 I purchased this rotary tool from Rutlands, which closely matches the size and weight of my previous name brand rotary tool. A key selling point for me was the inclusion of a flex shaft and stand.
The stand effectively supports the tool, and the flex shaft appears to be quite capable. However, I found the fitting instructions could have been clearer, prompting me to refer to YouTube videos for guidance on attaching flex shafts to this type of tool. I was unaware that the rotating component of the flex shaft could be pulled forward and clamped into the tool's chuck before securing the metal **** thread of the flex shaft to the tool. Once properly fitted, it has performed well.
To secure the chuck at the tool end of the flex shaft, a metal bar can be utilised to lock the chuck in place, allowing for tightening with the included spanner. Overall, I find this product to offer excellent value compared to brand-name rotary tools, from my experience their performance is comparable.
Excellent service item arrived well packaged and very quickly. Have not used the Rotary tool yet but it looks great in a well presented bag. I am sure it will be good when I get around to using it. Well recommended using rutlands I will definitely use again
I'm a woodturner who likes to add texture and carving to my work. My old rotary tool gave up the ghost after many years of service, so Rutlands' email arrived just at the right time - a great offer price, plus a load of accessories. The stand and flexible drive are a must for the way I work, and the stand (which my old machine didn't have) looks like it will be great for keeping a uniform depth of cut, although I haven't had time to try it yet. There are loads of cheap units available online, so the three year guarantee offered by Rutlands is very reassuring
This is so simple and easy to use for all the small refining jobs. The attachments are easily changeable depending on the project you are using it for. Its powerful and well built. A solid bit of kit worth having.
