Table Saw Thin Rip Jig

This easy to use thin rip jig makes the ripping of thin strips of wood safer, easier and more consistent. Achieve perfect thin rip cuts on your table saw or bandsaw, faster and more accurate than ever before.

The slider bar measures 19mm wide by 9mm deep by 63mm long, designed for industry standard 19mm T track or mitre slots. To operate, adjust the extension of the jig so that the bearing guide just meets the teeth of the saw blade, and then using the scale, back off the jig until the required rip cut width is achieved. Once set, slide the jig into position just in front of the saw blade and lock securely in place. Place your stock against the fence and bring both the fence and stock towards the jig, so that the edge of the stock just touches the bearing guide. The resulting strips leave the left hand side of the saw blade, rather than between the blade and fence, minimising the risk of binding or dangerous kickback to the operator. The process is then repeated, bringing both the fence and stock towards the bearing guide each time.

Each of the precision machined aluminium components have been beautifully finished with a black electro-coating, for wear and corrosion resistance. The smooth action bearing guide runs in a single direction, keeping the stock securely against the fence whilst preventing kickback, and can be orientated to run either clockwise or anti-clockwise. The bearing assembly is sealed for life to prevent dust ingress, ensuring consistent, effortless feeding. The built in scale has been laser etched in 1mm graduations for clear identification when making extra-fine adjustments. ©
