The Rutlands® sliding mitre saw features a unique twin-guide rail design, that allows you to operate it flush against a wall. As no space is required at the rear to accommodate the rails, the saw fits perfectly on a workbench against a wall. The saw is powered by a 1800W direct drive motor with electronic speed control to maintain constant speed under load for smooth, consistent sawing. Large, easy to use controls, index stops and easy to read angle scales enable fast and simple change from one set-up to another, to allow for precise mitre, bevel and compound mitre cuts.
The saw will straight cut 70mm x 305mm, mitre cut 70mm x 215mm, bevel cut 35mm x 305mm and compound mitre cut 35mm x 215mm. Trenches, grooves and rebates can be cut by adjusting the depth control screw. The large, CNC machined dual sliding fence gives excellent support for tall workpieces at any angle. The 48 tooth, TCT thin-kerf blade leaves clean, feather free cuts on hardwoods, softwoods and composite woods. A fine shadow-line cut indicator gives you a simple and accurate way to align the blade to pencil markings on the work.
The large workpiece clamp features a powerful ratchet lever to prevent the wood from moving when sawing. Positioned directly behind the blade is a 38mm dust port for coupling to a shop vacuum or to the dust collection bag. Supplied with left and right table extensions, dust bag and tool kit. ©

I bought this product for a diy project as previously I had 2 mitre saw which non of them could cut perfect on 45 degrees. Whereas, this machine is perfect for what I need and I am happy about the quality/price.

Really well made saw. Holes in rear fence to add your own sacrificial fence. The fence is also adjustable. Excellent blade provided and I bought another blade from Rutlands. Another excellent quality blade. It's has Shadow Line technology. Much better than laser. No need to readjust when changing blades. Easy movement and settings for frequent angled cuts. Takes up so much less space than my last mitre saw. Large handle on the back for compound cuts and another handle on top to easily move the saw if need be. Dust collection always better with a shop vac as per usual. Mitre saw well known for creating a dust storm. Highly recommended mitre saw.
I had a cheap mitre saw that just wasn't up to the task. I wanted to upgrade but as a DIY'er I couldn't justify the price some of the better known makes were asking. When I saw this I was very interested. It had all the features I was after and at a good price (on offer). The vast majority of reviews were 5*. I took the plunge and ordered one. It arrived very quickly and was well packaged. On opening it was clear that this is a well designed and well engineered piece of equipment. With a little "putting together" (having read the mahual of course!) it was soon up and running. Absolutely delighted with my purchase. It was accurate "out of the box", provided a clean cut with no feathered edges and, personally, I did not think that it was excessively noisy. A big, big upgrade to my orignal mitre saw. One very happy customer.
Fantastic bit of kit for the money and is so handy to be able to place it up against the wall and still be able to cut at the full length.
The forward sliding rails are a great space saver in my small garage workshop. Everything was square straight out of the box. Only gripe is the noise. Boy is this thing loud!
