I’d been hunting for a granite surface plate for ages, and then one finally appeared for sale at Rutland’s. It’s perfectly flat and true, and it’s transformed my sharpening setup — scary‑sharp is so much easier when I’m not chasing a bit of glass around the bench.
Been looking for a mitre saw for a while but never bought one then I saw this one . Bought there and then.i needed to cut some sleepers did the job without turning over the sleeper.went straight through. And a great price
Having purchased a number of great tools from Rutland, who should I turn to when it comes to cleaning up after the work.
Yep, this is the best 'starter kit' for these type of hoses, the tolerances are good and the level of magnetism is just right. My only problem is I keep thinking of ways to exploy my 2nd little mobile extractor to tools with twin ports to really amp up the extraction, works a treat, but you end up with lots of tools with these little magnetic trumpets attached! Once you get past the cost you can just enjoy the convenience and better cuts, I love 'em.
My second Rutland chuck with a very comprehensive set of jaws.Well
Packed in a useful foam container.Would buy again
OK so don’t be put off by the price of these bags for a start. They have been revised and upgraded to feature plastic collars in place of the previous cardboard ones which had the habit of splitting (ie. The free one which comes with the extractor). Though even that was a good solid bag, just with poor cardboard collar. I can see this new type lasting an age in my extractor system, so the price is balanced out by longevity.
Excellent bit of kit, fastened at side of bench to plug in different tools with added safety, the switch is at a great height to access. Thank you.
I ordered this at the same time as the 100mm Kit. I had thought about it for some time and thought that I was being a little over the top in getting this as the present system worked, it just meant I had to uncouple the 100mm pipe from an existing machine and connect it via an adaptor to the 63mm pipe to the Drill Table. No big hassle really. At least not until I got this and made things so much easier. Just pull off the 100mm adapter and snap fit the 63mm adapter. Easy. So glad I got these and now looking to get more for the other machines.
What a bargain. Powerful, accurate, sturdy, looks great and VERY GOOD value for money.
What more do you want
You won’t find better, even if you doubled your budget ….trust me I’ve looked for months. What more do you want
Dust Extraction Hose Magnetic Coupling Kit with Rubber Cuffs - 100mm to 100mm - R8639 + Dust Extraction Hose Magnetic Machine Coupling - 63mm - R8605.
I was somewhat sceptical about getting these items and thought I was just going overboard on something I did not really need, after all my present system worked; but just a little tedious as I don’t have the space to have all the machine out, I now just have the one dust extraction outlet for the big moveable machines and have to keep changing the connection pipe over to which ever machine is out and being used. Adding these Magnetic connectors to these machines has made a big difference and now so simple just to take the hose on and off the machine. Besides the 3 off 100mm connections, I also added a 63mm one to the dust port on my Drill Table. I have enclosed photos of these. My workshop is rather crowded and some may say I have too many machines, but I say my workshop is too small; but unfortunately cannot be extended. I do have a couple of small stationary machines that I am now going to get more of these Magnetic Connectors for.
For anyone in a similar position to myself that does not have the room to have machine spread out and connected to a dust extraction system all the time, then these are ideal and save a lot of messing about. I don’t regret getting these, although the cost did initially put me off.
I'm very impressed with this little sander!
I'm a painter and decorator and thought it was about time I invested in some power tools to make work easier. I bought this sander to begin with and will definitely be investing in getting the palm sander as well and potentially even the dry wall sander with dust extraction. Just wish I bought 2 batteries but that's my fault.
One bad thing is the dust bag doesn't stay on properly and keeps falling off but that doesn't effect the use of the sander!
A great Woodturning lathe for a beginner with all you need plus tools and multiple speed.
I had been looking for a compound mitre saw for some time ,when I came across the Rutlands 305mm. Spec wise it ticked all the boxes.
The reviews where good, so I decided to give it a try.
Boy am I pleased!
The build quality is excellent, it fits tight to the wall, it was spot on for accuracy straight out of the box and the shadow line is superb for lining up the cut. Dust extraction is ok, if connected to a extractor of some kind. I have no hesitation in recommending this saw, you could pay twice the price and it not be as good.
Very good bit of kit bought to replace my old one far superior well made all solid and no movement
Good assortment of bits very handy and have use 50% so far perfect
i have bought a number of items from rutlands all of which were satisfactory or better
Haven’t got to use it yet, but got it on a daily price drop and it looks really good quality
These are a great set of cases I bought initially I only needed the large one for my rutlands plunge saw .they can easily be arranged to suit what tools you use more often and the tray on top is good for when you need smaller items close to hand.i will likely add to it in the future as space is a premium my small man cave as they can easily be moved due to the lockable wheels.
